Mopar 68223569AD is the current ignition coil for the 3.6 in the JL and Gladiator. It replaces 68223569AB and AC. It's a different coil from the JK's 5149168AJ, a common mix-up when people shop by engine size alone.

Fitment

2018-and-later Wrangler JL and Gladiator JT with the 3.6 Pentastar. Sold individually; the engine uses six. Always confirm the number on your old part or run your VIN at a Mopar parts counter before you order.

Rebuild, repair or replace?

Replace the failed coil; coils aren't serviceable. Do a swap test first: move the suspect coil to another cylinder and see if the misfire follows it. If it doesn't, check the plug (Mopar SP225755AB / Champion 9417 on JL) and the injector. The driver-bank coils sit under the upper intake, so it makes sense to do coils and plugs at the same time if both are due.

The same Mopar coil is sold for other 3.6 Pentastar Jeeps: Just for Jeeps lists it for the 2016–2025 Grand Cherokee WK2, Wrangler JL, Gladiator JT, Grand Cherokee L and WL, and Wagoneer. That broad use keeps it easy to find in stock at dealers. Buy one at a time unless several cylinders are failing the swap test. If you are replacing coils because of a misfire that came back after new plugs, recheck that the plugs are the JL number (Champion 9417), not the JK 9407. A wrong plug is a surprisingly common cause of repeat misfire threads.
